Montessori Hundred Board

The 100 Board – a blank laminated board
A two compartment box with a lid containing plastic chips with all the numbers from 1 – 100, written on them.
A Control Chart with all the numbers filled in.
A table mat.

OBJECTIVES: |
To give the child an understanding of numbers and their sequence.
To help the child to memorise his numbers.
|
CONTROL OF ERROR: |
The Control Board.
|
AGE: |
5 – 6 years approx.
The child should know from memory where the tile should go and should place it in the correct space.
The child works from left to right, top to bottom.
The child leaves the answer tiles on the Chart and works with the board for as long as he is able.
The child can check his answers on the Control Chart. (NOTE: the child can write the answers on a photocopied version of the 100 Board so that this can ultimately be completed over a number of days and so that the child has a copy of his work.)
End the work cycle.
